From My Journal, “Expect the Unexpectd”

Twice a year I go on a personal retreat to hear from God.  During this time I get so renewed and He gives me his desires/vision for His plan through me.  He shows up.  He changes me.  He talks to me.   I have so many journals filled from these retreats and just my personal daily retreats at home.  I have been keeping these journals for years but it’s time to start sharing them.  They are in random order.

4/3/11 Spring Retreat, Cheaha Falls

Acts 8:5-6 Philip went down to a city in Samaria and proclaimed the Messiah there. When the crowds heard Philip and saw the signs he performed, they all paid close attention to what he said.

I have anticipated the moment I would get to this particular reading in “Come Away My Beloved”.  I asked You to speak to me.  You heard my request and this is what you said,

“My Child, let Me speak to you and let my Spirit direct your life.  I may lead you in unexpected ways and ask things of you that are startling.  But I will never guide you amiss…”

“Wherever I direct you…there you will see My power at work, AND YOUR MINISTRY WILL GLORIFY ME!!!”

“Do not walk according to your natural reasoning, but obey the promptings of the Spirit, and be obedient to MY VOICE.  I need those who will be completely flexible in this way because a multitude of souls are searching for Me and would never come into contact with Me in a personal way through the channels of the organized church.  You shall go as Philip went-at the direction of the Spirit-into the places that are out of the way and bring light on My Word to those who are in need.”

“Stay in an attitude of prayer and faith and I will do the rest!!”

About rhemajoy

I love the reviving, motivating aroma of freshly ground coffee beans first thing in the morning. Freshly pressed coffee is the essence of rejuvenation. But what I love even more is the revival I receive each morning when I start the day firmly grounded in the Word of God. So grab a cup of java and join me on this journey from glory to glory as each new morning beckons for a fresh cup of faith.
